From a young age, I was always a baker. Whether it was a 4-H project or a family birthday, I always loved making sweets & treats for those in my life. This passion continued throughout my life and even led me to make a career as a pastry chef.
In 2011 I was diagnosed with Celiac disease. For a baker, this diagnosis can at first feel like a death sentence. But it was through this I discovered with work and experimentation, I could transform all of my favorite desserts, which I had made for years, into safe, gluten-free products, that anyone could enjoy.
Early in 2015, I received the opportunity to open my very own bakery, in my hometown of Lancaster, Ohio. I knew this was a chance to spread the joy of a sweet treat even to those of us with allergies and sensitivities. It was that day that Happy Goat Gluten-Free Baked Goods and Bulk Foods was born.
